In recently had an interview with a parenting magazine, during wich i was asked about my experience in educating mychildren. My son and daughter are still young so it 's hard to tell now what they are going to be in future. i do not know of metodhs i am using now are correct either.
in fact, if one thinks my career and life are ok. one should interview my father and mother about how they taught me. That would be a much more valuable reference. I had a more profound understanding after one of the questions asked at the interview. That is:"After playing the role of a father, what are your gains and personal experience?" i believe the the biggest gains is in having a complete life. if i had not been a father, i would not have the chance to practice the right and obligations bestowed on me. Since becoming a father, i have had a feeling of rebirth. watching my children grow up has brought back many childhood memories. it is just like having a new understanding of life. the most profound realization i've had is that personality and ability are inborn. parent can have children with personalities and abilities that are poles apart.
My son and daughter are different personalities. the elder brother is easy-going and not too persistent. he is unlike many young children who envy their younger brothers and sisters. And the younger sister is a perpectionist. she has high demands in many things. Big brother has no fear of authority and will be himself at school. Little sister iss a typical good girl. she wil not easily "go out of bounds." They also have different abilities and may even be described as opposites. As parents, we must be humble before the creator and individualize our teaching. There is no one method that fits all. The role of parents is hopefully to bring out the strengths in their children and put their talents to good use. After all, there are not many things parent can change in their children.
