Microsoft Visual Studio Express is a collection of freeware integrated development environment (IDE) developed by Microsoft that is a light version of Microsoft Visual Studio. The idea of the express edition, according to Microsoft is to provide efficient, easy to use and easy to learn for users IDE besides professional software developer, which is like a fan and student. The final version was released on November 19, 2007 and the service pack version 1 (Service Pack 1) released on August 11, 2008.
In line with the increasingly popular since the Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions, this issue will always be free of charge. Visual Studio 2008 Express Editions require Windows XP or subsequent versions of Windows; Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows 9x is no longer supported. Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions can be installed on Windows 2000 SP4. In late April 2009, Microsoft has discontinued all previous versions of Visual Studio Express, including 2005. It is no longer possible to obtain an earlier version on the Microsoft website.
